HOW TO DRESS UP YOUR FALL BASICS: PART 3

I hope you’re having a great week! We just got back from our first trip to California and are still getting back into the swing of things. We had such an amazing time exploring the west coast and visiting family. I’ll also be putting together our travel guide our favorite places, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, I’ve rounded up my last four tips on how to dress up your fall basics! If you missed the first two posts of the series, you can find them here.

4 Tips to Dressing Up Fall Basics

Throw on a Blazer: Wool blazers are one of my favorite and easiest ways to dress up any outfit for fall. Throw it on over a pair of jeans, dress pants, or even a casual dress. If you still want that casual look, try rolling up your sleeves. Find a blazer with striped lining for added detailing.

Wear a Pair of Booties: Peep-toe booties are a great transitional shoe. They’re a little dressier than flat closed-toe booties.

Add a Straw Hat: Straw hats are a great accessory for the weekend or an evening with friends. This hat style has been super popular, so it’s easy to find a dressier straw hat, like this one here and here.

Gold Statement Earrings: Another fun trend for fall is statement earrings. This season, statement earrings are getting a little dressier by going gold. I love these earrings here and here!

Here are a few blazers from Banana Republic’s fall collection that I think you will like.

  1. Classic Fit Herringbone
  2. Animal Print
  3. Ponte scallop Laser-Cut
  4. Long Inverted Collar
