4 Tips to Dressing Up Fall Basics
1. Wear Sweaters with Simple Ruffles: Ruffles have been all the rage the last couple of seasons, and they are here to stay this fall and winter. Instead of large, bold ruffles, consider wearing smaller, simple ruffles to help achieve a dressier look.
2. Tuck-in Your Sweater: One of the easiest ways to dress up any outfit is by simply tucking in your blouse. This technique takes a relaxed blouse, like the one I’m wearing, and makes it look more fitted.
3. Add a Small Neck Scarf: Wear simple accessories, like a small neck scarf. You can achieve different looks by picking a silk, wool, or linen neck scarf.
4. Wear a Pair of Ballet Flats: You probably don’t need your over-the-knee (OTK) boots quite yet, so keep your ballet flats close by! They’re an easy way to dress up your outfit without having to wear heels.
