It’s finally starting to feel like fall here, and I couldn’t be more excited! Without sounding too cliche, fall is my favorite time of year. I find everything about fall to be so cozy —the crisp temperatures, warm layers and colorful foliage. And not to mention it’s the half-way point to the holidays. I fell in love with this over-sized denim blouse, because it’s perfect for layering— throw it under a chunky sweater or add a white long-sleeve knit underneath.
Fit tip: I’m wearing a size-xxs… it fits great while still having that over-sized look.
I’ve started feeling like time is moving a little too fast for me, and I just want to take in the season, the fresh air, and spend lots of time with family. My sisters and I like to come up with some fun activities for us to do during the fall, so I thought I’d share some of the items on my list.
My Fall Bucket List
- Visit Asheville, VA
- Make Homemade Pumpkin Soup and Cinnamon Rolls
- Apple Picking
- Hike the Priest, Again
- Pumpkin Picking
- Watch 90’s Halloween Movies
- Bonfire with S’mores
- Afternoon at the Charlottesville Wineries
- Take a Chocolate Making Class
- Afternoon Picnic in the Park
Next weekend is my youngest sisters birthday, and we’ll doing a couple of these activities to celebrate. My cousin from Florida will be in town, which is awesome, because it’s been several years since I’ve seen her.
A couple activities at the top of my bucket list are visiting Ashville, NC and making homemade pumpkin soup. Roger and I have talked about visiting Ashville for a while now, so hopefully we’ll make it there this fall. I’ve always wanted to make pumpkin soup, and I recently came across a few delicious sounding recipes. I’ll give it a try and let you know how it turns out. If you have any pumpkin soup recipes you’d be willing to share, let me know!
