FAVORITE RED PEACOAT: TWO WAYS

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here, and we may even get a little snow this weekend (figures crossed)! My sister and I love a good snow storm, so we’re hoping for a couple this winter. We met up for a short outing this weekend and funny enough both ended up wearing the same red peacoat. There’s something so classy about a bright-red jacket, especially this time of year. It’s perfect for holiday parties or for a more everyday look.

We walked around Dogwood Dell and the Carillon, which have become two of my favorite spots this fall. The trees are so magical, and I just can’t resist the pebble walkways. My sister recently got a new place in the city, and I finally had a chance to check it out. She already has her tree up, and her place is so homey! I’m hoping the Mr. and I can pick out our tree this weekend and finally start decorating for Christmas.

This Michael Kors peacoat is super flattering with its asymmetrical silhouette and buckle detailing around the waist. The jacket looks great zipped up, tied or left open, and the gold detailing compliments the bright red color.

Fit Tip: My sister is 5’7 and I’m 5’2, and both wearing a size-xs.

If you prefer longer peacoats, I found this gorgeous Lafayette trench (which is a splurge) and this Eliza J military coat. Statement jackets have been super popular lately, so if you looking for an inexpensive option, this plaid coat is a perfect.

What do you think about bright read jackets?
